Dunkin’ Donuts has a reputation for rolling out limited-time-only products to commemorate just about every major holiday (most recently they introduced a few new items in honor of Valentine’s Day), and St. Patrick’s Day, which is just around the corner, isn’t falling through the cracks. So what’s in store at a Dunkin’ Donuts near you?

It’s not a bright green donut, it’s one filled with Irish crème, under a sugared raised shell, topped with a sprinkling of powdered sugar. The company is on a bit of an Irish crème kick, apparently, as they’ve also rolled out an Irish crème coffee and an Irish crème latte, both hot or iced, as well as an Irish crème Frozen Coffee Coolata.

They’ve also introduced a couple of new features for those who have the Dunkin’ Donuts mobile app. Through the mGift feature on the app, you can purchase St. Patrick’s Day-themed gift certificates for friends and share them directly through the app. Also, through the "My Offers" section of the app, you can get $1 off a 50-count box of Munchkins, or get two muffins for $2.

                                Krispy Kreme reveals St. Patrick’s Day doughnuts

                                (Gray News) - Krispy Kreme is going green for St. Patrick’s Day!. The doughnut company unveiled four new “luck-filled doughnuts” that are available through March 17. The Lucky Unicorn, Lucky Leprechaun, Lucky Gold Coins and Lucky Sprinkles doughnuts can be enjoyed individually or in a Luck o’the Doughnut Dozen, which includes three of each doughnut.

                                The tradition of television in Baton Rouge began on April 19, 1953, when WAFB signed on the air as the second television station in Louisiana. Over the following decades, Channel 9 has created the number one news organization in south Louisiana, covering local, state, and regional news. Today, WAFB brings its viewers 25 hours of news programming each week. Presently, Louisiana's News Channel is the only network station in the market to air a complete rebroadcast of every locally produced newscast, plus a live weekend noon news product on our second cable station, Cable Channel 9. Our anchors, reporters, producers, and photographers have won numerous awards from the Associated Press and the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters. A number of investigative reports by WAFB 9 News on various topics have even resulted in changes in state law. While news and programming are our broadcast trademarks, WAFB is constantly being honored for its community service. Channel 9 donates over $1.25 million in public service air time each year. The list of station promotions to help local non-profit organizations is lengthy, with our St. Vincent de Paul Uniform Drive, Assess the Need, and the Volunteer! Baton Rouge Volunteer recognition program to name a few.


                                All 22 classic Dunkin&rsquo Donuts doughnut flavors, ranked

                                Dunkin’ Donuts has been serving up doughnuts and coffee for more than 65 years now, becoming a New England and international staple along the way. While Dunkin’ has since expanded its menu to include sandwiches and smoothies of sorts, the chain’s doughnuts will always reign supreme.

                                Technically speaking, Dunkin’ has 22 classic doughnut flavors, not including limited edition or seasonal selections, of which there are dozens. To stay true to our roots, we taste-tested all of the classic flavors and ranked them.

                                The criteria for judging is as follows:

                                Texture: Too light or too heavy? Too creamy or cakey? Too dry or too sticky?

                                Accuracy: How does the flavor match the description? For example, does the Strawberry Frosted taste like strawberry?

                                Overall Flavor: Is it good? Is it bad? How good is it? How bad is it?

                                With these three factors taken into consideration, six judges rated the doughnuts with a score of 0.1 to 5.0. The scores were then averaged to produce a ranking.

                                With no further ado, here’s how the classic Dunkin’ flavors ranked, from worst to best:

                                22. Bavarian Kreme – 1.12

                                A powdered doughnut with a custard filling sounds like a treat, but our taste-testers found Bavarian Kremes too sweet and too heavy. While our testers weren’t keen on it, this is one polarizing pastry — either you love it, or you hate it.

                                21. Cinnamon – 1.17

                                A few chews in, and the cakiness mixes with the cinnamon to create a paste-like consistency, most likely due to the dry mouthfeel that cinnamon produces in general. Coffee or another beverage is essential when eating this doughnut.


                                Irish Creme Coffee Is Back At Dunkin&rsquo Just In Time For St. Patrick's Day

                                Update, February 27, 2020 10:57 a.m.: It's very nearly March which means we're gearing up for all things St. Patrick's Day. And while our beer might be turning green, we're a bit more interested in the spirit of our morning coffee run. Thankfully, Dunkin' is bringing back its festive Irish Creme-flavored coffees again this year, so we're feeling pretty lucky.

                                This festive flavor will be available in Dunkin' hot, iced, and frozen coffees, as well as Dunkin' espresso drinks like lattes and cappuccinos. That means you could basically be drinking a new Irish Cream-flavored coffee drink from now until St. Patrick's Day. Throw in a bit of Baileys and it sounds like the perfect drink to get your festivities started.

                                And if you're looking for something to pair it with, well you're in luck. Dunkin' is also launching a Lucky Shamrock Donut, made up of a yeast ring donut topped with green icing and a "special St. Patrick&rsquos Day sprinkle blend." Who needs to make a themed dessert when you can just bring these?

                                All these treats are available now at participating Dunkin's and will stick around until supplies last, so hop to it!

                                Original, March 4, 2019 1:07 p.m.: This month, you don't need to be at the end of a rainbow for an exciting surprise&mdashjust walk into Dunkin'. The chain recently announced the return of Irish Creme-flavored coffees and espresso drinks after a very long five years.

                                According to a press release, the "smooth, velvety" Irish Creme flavor will be available to order as Dunkin' hot, iced, and frozen coffee, as well as the chain's espresso drinks. You'll want to Irish Creme-ify your latte ASAP, though, because the flavor will only be at participating locations in March while supplies last.

                                You may even get the chance to try the Irish Creme coffee for free. On Wednesday, March 6, seven Dunkin' locations across the country are going to be O'Dunkin' for the day to celebrate St. Patrick's Day coming up. The chain isn't messing around either&mdashthere will be a sign on the outside and new decor inside for the O'Dunkin' "rebranding."

                                At each of the O'Dunkin' locations, the first 250 customers will get a free small hot or iced Irish Creme-flavored coffee or latte until they're gone. Check out Dunkin's Instagram for clues on where the O'Dunkin' restaurants will be.

                                If you want a donut with your coffee (and of course you do), on Tuesday, March 5, DD Perks Rewards members will get double points when they purchase any donut or Munchkins donut hole treats. While you're at it, you should try Dunkin's Mint Brownie Donut. It has a mint brownie batter filling, light green icing, and crumbled brownie on top, so you really can't go wrong.


                                Dunkin’ Donuts at it Again with St. Patrick’s Day Themed Lucky Mint and Green Shamrock Donuts [Report]

                                While Dunkin Donuts continues to update their website at a snail’s pace, the best way to determine the restaurant’s current promotions is unfortunately the old fashioned “pull up and look for ad posters” routine. It’s March, which seems to be considered the unofficial month of the Irish, given St. Patrick’s day unearths itself smack dab in the middle of the month every year. Dunkin’ has once again provided some holiday themed donut creations this month with the Lucky Mint and Green Shamrock styled donuts.

                                While last month’s Valentine’s Day themed donuts were centered around cream filling, these two seem to resemble the more traditional ring shape. The Lucky Mint donut is a glazed chocolate cake creation, topped with fudged chocolate icing and mint bark topping. The Green Shamrock is a yeast ring donut with green icing and sham sprinks complimenting it. Dunkin Donuts was gracious enough to send us a photo of the Green Shamrock donut for your viewing pleasure!


                                Dunkin’ launches coffee-inspired nail polish line

                                First you can polish off a delicious donut, and then you can polish your nails. The company formerly known as Dunkin’ Donuts recently launched a limited-edition nail polish line inspired by its signature lattes and ice cream-inspired coffees, according to a press release. There are six coffee-inspired colors to choose from: Coco Mocha, Caramel Craze, Blueberry Crisp, Butter Pecan, Pistachio, Almond Fudge, and Banana Split. The new polish line also includes the coffee chain’s iconic orange and pink shades Slam Dunkin’ and Pretty in Dunkin’. The new polishes are part of a partnership with Lauren B. Beauty, a vegan nail polish company. The full collection of nail polishes are available at select salons in 10 markets across the county, while supplies last. An interactive map on the company’s website shows where the polishes are available. And to sweeten the deal, customers who purchase polishes at participating sales will receive a $4&hellip


                                Dairy-Free Doughnuts Are a Slam Dunk

                                In the interest of full disclosure, I should mention that I have a special fondness for Babycakes. Erin McKenna, the bakery's owner and founder, was my very first interview subject as a grad student in J-school. (I believe the assignment was to interview someone about their line of work, and since I'd wanted to check out the bakery anyway, I thought I'd kill two birds with one scone &mdash err, stone.) Erin was kind enough to talk shop with me, and I found out she was "one of us." Diagnosed as an adult with allergies to gluten and dairy, she began experimenting with alternative ingredients to remodel the desserts she craved. It takes a tough woman to make a tender cupcake, particularly when she's trying to attempt the task without all the cornerstones of confections: white sugar, wheat, gluten, dairy, and eggs. But Erin has done just that.

                                I usually go for the spelt variety, but even the gluten-free cupcakes &mdash which could be as dry and gritty as sand &mdash hold together well. The frosting is sweet, but not cloying. Canola and cold-pressed virgin coconut oil keep things moist and firm without the presence of eggs. The mild-not-manic sweetness comes from my old friend, agave.

                                I've eaten so many of these bad boys, I reckon I could paper a whole wall in my home with the wrappers. Of course, Babycakes offers other kinds of baked goods (cinnamon buns, cookies, bread, etc.), but the cupcakes are so tasty, it's hard for me to order anything else.

                                I've sampled the powdered sugar and the maple-glazed, and I'm happy to report that they're both little halos of heaven. The texture is cake-like, and they're not clogged with oil since they're baked, not fried. I inhaled the powdered ones so fast, the dusting of sugary dandruff down the front of my dress was the only sign I'd ever purchased them in the first place. In a show of extraordinary self-restraint, I managed to save two of the maple-glazed to split with my dairy-eatin' boyfriend. He's had proper doughnuts, so his verdict would be the true test.

                                After snapping this tasty tableau, he dug in, and declared: "That doughnut is d*** good!" I can only imagine how we'll fawn over the chocolate-dipped.
