Plum dumplings

  • 300 gr potatoes
  • 100 gr flour
  • 1 yolk
  • 1 teaspoon lard or butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • bread crumbs

RECIPE PREPARATION Plums with plums:

Boil the potatoes in their skins, add a little salt to the water. When they are cooked, peel them and crush them like puree, then let them cool. Until the potatoes cool, put boiling water in a large pot and add a pinch of salt. We also prepare the breadcrumbs, put a small teaspoon of oil on the heat, add the breadcrumbs and let it simmer until it darkens a little, stirring occasionally.

Add chilled potatoes, flour, egg yolk, lard (butter) and salt. Knead well until it becomes like a dough and spread, the thinner the better

Cut the dough into squares, place the whole plums or halves according to preference, sprinkle a little cinnamon and make balls.

When the water has boiled, we add the "balls", not all, just as much as you think would take place next to each other water the bottom of the pot, I put about 10. Let it boil until it rises to the surface, then leave 1 minute. Then we take them out, put them in a large strainer and pass them under a stream of warm water. We roll them in the fried breadcrumbs and we can move on to the next ones… until they are all ready…
