A beer that is very easy to make at home and low in alcohol.
After long attempts, I decided that this variant is my favorite, flavored with lemon.
- 2 liters of plain water,
- 100 g sugar,
- 50 g ginger,
- 1/2 lemon,
- 4 g fresh yeast.
Preparation time: over 120 minutes
RECIPE PREPARATION Ginger beer:
Pour water into a container (preferably glass). Add the sugar, yeast and juice from 1/2 lemon. The ginger is put on the small grater (if you prefer to use the peel (I always use it), then the ginger must be washed well before). Lemon peel is either finely chopped or finely ground with ginger in a blender. If we use the blender, we must add 1 liter of water (of the 2). Shake the bottle well to mix the ingredients well. It will be left to ferment for 24-36 hours, depending on the temperature of the environment in which the bottle is kept.
Pass it through a fine strainer, or you can even use a gauze and keep it in the fridge until consumed. It is consumed cold.
PS: It can still be flavored with mint :) I always make double the amount, it is consumed so fast :))
