Simple cumin soup

It is a fasting soup, it is often made in Transylvania, it has a rantas specific to the area. You will say that the rantas is no longer fashionable, that it is hard on the stomach or many others, but let's not forget that our grandparents consumed it and took it longer than us. So give it a try!

  • 3 carrots,
  • 1 parsley root,
  • 1 celery as an apple,
  • 3 potatoes,
  • 1 teaspoon cumin,
  • 100 ml oil,
  • 1 tablespoon flour,
  • 1 link green parsley,
  • salt,
  • 3 liters of water.

Servings: 12

Preparation time: less than 60 minutes

RECIPE PREPARATION Simple cumin soup:

Boil 3 liters of water, when it boils, add the chopped vegetables. When the vegetables are cooked, separate them in a pan, heat the oil, add the flour, lightly brown, then turn off the rantas with cold water (about 250 ml of water) mix well over low heat, not to make lumps, pour the rantas over the soup, season with salt and add the chopped greens. Serve with toasted bread croutons.

A good thing, it was my favorite at home, and now I have infected my nephew who always asks me when I go to the country to make this soup because he says that no one does it like I do and I am delighted with this. I fry the cumin a little and then add water, so it gives it a stronger aroma and I don't put ground cumin anymore. Otherwise, I do the same, but without the paper. As dietary as possible (like in the hospital) I eventually put a carrot. We also tried sour cream, but it's not the same soup that used to be served at home.

Ingredients and quantities:

usual vegetable for soup
1 tablespoon cumin
1 tablespoon flour
5 tablespoons oil
croutons
greenery

Method of preparation:

1. Boil the vegetables together with the cumin.
2. When the vegetables are cooked, fry the flour in oil, quench with 2 cups of strained juice (soup) and add to the soup pot.
3. Match the salt, add the croutons and greens. Serve hot.

How do you make cumin soup?

Cut the cumin bulbs and remove the harder outer part. Cut them into pieces (cubes). Keep the twigs to decorate the soup.
Wash the potatoes and zucchini, peel them and cut them into cubes.
In the chicken soup add the potatoes, cumin and zucchini and put it on the fire for 25 minutes.
Cook some onion in butter, then add it to the soup.
Let the soup cool.
