Mushroom pate, no matter how complicated it may sound, is, in fact, a fairly easy recipe to make, and its preparation does not take more than 20 minutes!
For this recipe you can use any type of mushroom you like best. Shiitake, cremini, pleurotus, all of these work great, because we will put them in the blender anyway to be turned into pasta later.
But first you have to cut their pieces. Then heat a little olive oil or vegan butter in a pan, then you can add the mushrooms. While they sizzle, you can add a few pieces of garlic.
It's not mandatory, but I promise it will turn out much better that way! In this recipe we used garlic powder, along with some other ingredients & ldquosecrete & rdquo, which you can discover in the recipe below. Stir responsibly until all the liquid in the mushrooms has been absorbed. After the whole mixture has cooled, you can start mixing it in the blender & ndash my favorite part of this recipe!
After you have finished mixing, you can add to this composition even your favorite version of vegan cheese and then put everything in the blender once again! It is a unique idea and so you will have the best combination to spread on bread in the morning & ndash yum! Mushroom and cashew pate (fasting)
Why buy from the store when I make it at home extremely fast, cheap and much, much tastier? From 5 ingredients I got the best fasting pate I have ever eaten. And which, for this reason, I do not eat only in fasting. Do it like this and you'll see why I say that.
- Saute the cashews in a pan over medium heat until lightly browned. (Or in the oven, if it's easier for you)
- Finely chop the onion and fry it in coconut oil over medium heat until transparent.
- Remove the onion and put the mushrooms in the pan, leaving them to brown. (you want them fried not hardened, so don't pile them up)
- Using a food processor, grind the cashews until fine. Add the rest of the ingredients (mushrooms, onions, pre-chopped parsley, salt and pepper) until you get a silky paste.

Homemade mushroom pate - fasting recipe
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon full of margarine (if you don't like the idea of using margarine, you can replace it with other healthier vegetable fats, which, however, you know solidify at low temperatures)
1 kg of finely chopped mushrooms (the tastier the mushrooms, the more pate will be)
a handful of croutons
2 cloves of garlic
2 tablespoons lemon juice
half a bunch of chopped parsley
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg (for the authentic taste of pate)
1 teaspoon thyme
salt and pepper to taste
Tip: add a handful of chopped walnuts or hazelnuts for texture and a surprising aroma.
Method of preparation:
Heat the margarine in a large pan and cook the onion until soft. Add the mushrooms and leave them on the fire for about 10 minutes or until they are cooked and the juice has evaporated.
Put the whole mixture together with the rest of the ingredients (except the chopped walnuts or hazelnuts) in a blender. Mix until you get the desired consistency, then add the walnuts or hazelnuts.

Do you want to prepare a healthy snack for the whole family? Then you can try this pâté recipe from pleurotus mushrooms. It has a low degree of difficulty and is done quickly. The ingredients prepared below are enough for about two and a half cups of pate. Don't be surprised that it will disappear from the set faster than you would expect or if your loved ones will ask for another portion!
Here are the steps you need to follow for a spreadable mushroom snack!
Ingredients for pleurotus mushroom pate:
6 cups with pleurotus mushrooms
1/4 cup butter at room temperature
1 medium onion, cleaned and finely chopped
1 clove of garlic, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon of crushed thyme leaves
1/2 teaspoon freshly chopped dill
1/4 teaspoon paprika

2. Cook until most of the liquid in the mushrooms has evaporated, for about 15-20 minutes. Allow the composition to cool for a few minutes, then add to a food processor or blender, along with wine (optional) and nuts. Stir until smooth, then stir in the freshly chopped green parsley.
3. Using a spatula, transfer the pate to the bowl, then cover with cling film and leave in the fridge to cool. Serve on a plate with freshly chopped green parsley and toast.

Put a little oil in a frying pan, then add the whole garlic cloves. Let them harden a little, until they leave the aroma in the oil, then add the coarsely chopped mushrooms. Keep them on the fire until the liquid evaporates.
A few minutes before turning off the heat, add salt, pepper or paprika and thyme to the pan. If you don't like the option of frying, you can cook the ingredients in the oven.
Leave the mixture to cool for a while, then transfer it to a blender. You can add a little more oil, fresh lemon juice and green parsley. Let the ingredients mix until you get a creamy composition. Taste the mushroom pate to see if you need to add anything, then transfer it to a bowl.
Decorate the dish with parsley leaves, olives or cherry tomatoes. For a more delicious experience, serve it on slices of fried bread.
