Se lasă coca circa 10—15 minute de o parte, după care se pune în forme de tarte, acoperind numai peretele inte rior al formei' de tarte, iar la mijloc se lasă gol. Se pun la copt. După ce s-au copt, se lasă să se răcească şi apoi se scot din forme. In locul gol . se umplu cu spanac, iar pe deasupra se pun ochiurile romîneşti. La servit se stropesc cu unt topit pe deasupra.
