Bacon Mouthwash, Condoms Might Just Be Real

Bacon Mouthwash, Condoms Might Just Be Real

Or it could be an April Fools' prank. We hate this time of year

For a while there we thought bacon was dying down (it's been a good few weeks since we've heard of anything being completely covered in bacon), but J&D's Foods is back with some bacon products that have us eyeing the calendar.

According to WTAM Radio, J&D's latest bacon monstrosity isn't another form of bacon salt (which we will admit is pretty genius), but bacon condoms and sunscreen.

Remember, this is the company that released a bacon coffin last year, right around this time, which was bacon-printed but not flavored. Bacon condoms are reportedly made "of the highest quality latex" and coated with J&D's baconlube (of course). According to photos, it's even bacon-printed. Hot.

Bacon sunscreen, however, we can probably see as being jokingly appealing; who doesn't end up leaving a waterpark, music festival, or barbecue smelling gross from greasy fried food, anyways?

Finally, Scope has reportedly launched a bacon-flavored mouthwash, which just "tastes like bacon while you swish, but leaves your breath smelling minty fresh" (ad copy adds on "5 times longer than brushing alone.") We're pretty sure we could plan an entire day around bacon-flavored products, starting with actual bacon for breakfast, some, um, baconlube for playtime, and actual bacon again at 3 a.m. (followed by bacon mouthwash before bed). Non-bacon lovers might enjoy some Sriracha-flavored lube in the meantime.*

*Let's note that it is the week before April 1.

These 27 Homemade Sex Toys Will Take Sex And Masturbation To The Next Level

If the term "homemade sex toy" makes you immediately imagine a trip to the ER, you may be surprised to hear they're not necessarily as questionable as you'd expect. if you choose wisely.

DIY toys for sex and masturbation can be a great option if you're just beginning to (literally) play with your sex life&mdashsolo or with a partner. They're a low-cost, convenient way to experiment with what you like in a sex toy in terms of length, girth, texture, and more. Or, maybe you've exhausted your drawer (or closet, or room) of sex toys and want to try something new.

According to sexuality and relationship consultant Dr. Sara Nasserzadeh, PhD, sex toys are also great if you're hesitant to try something mechanical, man-made, or explicitly created for sex play. "Homemade sex toys featuring everyday objects are accessible," she says. "Plus, they can bring lightness and laughter to the dynamic, which is priceless,&rdquo Nasserzadeh says. Just imagine never looking at a wooden spoon or cucumber without getting turned on again.

That being said, it can be difficult to know where to begin when you're wanting to branch out from traditional sex toys. It's important to not just grab any old household object for bedroom play.

The 27 homemade sex toys below all expert-approved&mdashso you know they're both fun and safe to use. Plus, chances are that you have at least a dozen of them at home right now.

If you want to take your blow job game to a new level, this tool&mdasher, jewel&mdashis for you, says Debra Laino, a sexologist as well as couples and marriage therapist.

"Slowly wrap it around his penis and jerk him off," Laino suggests. Added pleasure bonus: Kiss and suck on the tip while you&rsquore at it.

&ldquoThe texture of the pearls gives the penis a very different and unique sensation,&rdquo Laino says. Just don&rsquot use your grandma&rsquos jewels.

A wooden spoon is perfect for spanking because you can go soft or hard depending on your partner&rsquos preference, Laino says. Just make sure to have an open conversation about your boundaries beforehand.

&ldquoSome men will use a sock filled with lotion or lube and masturbate away,&rdquo says Laino, and there&rsquos no reason you can&rsquot do that for them or have them do it next to you while you watch and stimulate yourself with your own toy of choice.

&ldquoBoth partners using their own sex toys to mutually masturbate can add some diversity and spice to a couple's sex life,&rdquo Laino finds.

&ldquoGet a clean PVC pipe with the circumference and length that fits his penis,&rdquo Laino says. &ldquoLube the inside and have him penetrate it.&rdquo That gives an all new meaning to the word hardware, eh?

Rubbing against a stack of pillows can stimulate the clitoris and serve as a stand-in for a partner, says psychologist and sex therapist Rachel Needle, PsyD.

Pillows can also be great co-masturbation tools, says sex educator Laura McGuire, who encourages everyone to think outside of the penetrative sex box. &ldquoPeople forget that a lot of pleasure can be derived with just friction,&rdquo she says. Noted.

Don't want to mess with your expensive pillows? Needle also recommends using towels. The texture can feel great and the material is versatile enough to use it in any number of ways.

Sure, you can attempt to hold an ice cube in your mouth while delivering oral sex, or even swish ice-cold water in your mouth beforehand, but the thing about ice is that. it melts.

Instead, create that same effect by swishing your mouth with mouthwash before giving oral, McGuire says. &ldquoIt&rsquos going to give off that tingling sensation that a lot of people really, really love,&rdquo she says.

If swishing mouthwash pre-oral isn't as convenient as you'd like it to be, McGuire also recommends popping some mints before giving oral. It'll give the same tingling sensation without having to run to the bathroom mid-foreplay.

Want to get dirty while getting clean? Easy. Just use your shower head as a vibrator by pressing it up against, or directly spraying, your clitoris, Needle says.

&ldquoMany [shower heads] can be used at varying pressures and spray settings, so each individual can experiment with what feels best,&rdquo she says.

If you like the feeling of exfoliating your face or back, you might enjoy a similar sensation on your inner thighs, between your butt cheeks, on your outer labia, or against your breasts, says sex educator Kim Airs.

&ldquoA scrubbie sponge can be used gently or firmly, depending on what feels good for the user,&rdquo she says. Males may like it too, she adds, on their scrotum or penis shaft.

If it feels too rough, try adding a (scented, if you like) dollop of massage oil, says Airs. Just be sure to use a clean one that hasn't been used on dirty dishes or toilets.

&ldquoChopsticks can be squeezed together with a small rubber band at the ends to create easy-to-use nipple clamps or to squeeze the outer labia together,&rdquo Airs says. Just make sure to stay away from traditional bamboo chopsticks in this case to avoid uncomfortable and painful splinters.

You likely have several of these around your home already, but it's never a bad idea to stock up&mdashand now you have another reason to.

&ldquoIf you want a quick, pinching sensation, a snap of a rubber band will certainly make one jump to attention,&rdquo Airs says. Again, be sure your partner is cool with feeling a sting and potentially sporting a bite-mark-looking impression temporarily after.

Is there anything coconut oil can&rsquot do? If you get one that's organic and free of all preservatives and other chemicals, it works great as an inexpensive lube, says sexuality educator Jane Fleishman, PhD.

&ldquoJust remember you can't use any oil or oil-based lube with a latex condom because the oil will break down the integrity of the latex,&rdquo she says.

Unless they're crotchless, you have to take off your nylons to have sex, so why not involve them in the fun instead of tossing them on the floor?

If you have consent from your partner, use these to tie their wrists and ankles, or to blindfold them while giving them a lap dance or grazing parts of your body on their lips, Needle says.

&ldquoRemember, all other senses are heightened when sight is deprived, so blinding them with something silky or sexy to the touch is ideal,&rdquo she says.

If you want to get creative, your favorite hair scarf can work as a gag or way to tie up your partner with their consent, says ob-gyn and sex educator Dr. Terri Vanderlinde, MD.

&ldquoHow you choose to use them all comes down to being present, mindful, and making sure each partner is committed to pleasure&mdashtheir own and their partners,&rdquo she says.

Vanderlinde also recommends using that favorite silk shirt of yours. Next time you're taking it off while getting hot and heavy, wrap it around your partner's neck to pull them closer to you or use it to tie them up.

Bonus: Your partner will get turned on every time they see you wearing this out in public, too.

&ldquoOne side is smooth and can be used for light spanks on the bum and the other side is prickly, which will feel intense on an already spanked bum if dragged over it lightly,&rdquo says sex and pleasure educator Luna Matatas.

&ldquoOr, it can be used on the back, inner thighs, or chest by dragging the hair brush in long strokes, adding pressure and checking in with your partner about what they like.&rdquo

&ldquoUnderwear can easily be used as a gag,&rdquo Matatas says. "Just be sure to fold the underwear from its corners into the center, so that if it unfolds, the bulk of the material will fold out of the mouth instead of back into the throat.&rdquo

&ldquoPop some non-sharp stainless steel silverware in the fridge and bring them out for an icy delight against your partner's skin,&rdquo Matatas says. &ldquoCold butter knives can give an intense sensation without risking breaking the skin.&rdquo

Like the idea of getting all lubed up&mdashbut don't want the mess? Put some coconut oil or olive oil in a sandwich bag, and use it to stimulate your partner, or watch them use it to take care of himself, says sexuality counselor Eric Garrison.

Just be sure that if you ultimately decide to ditch the bag mid-stroke and go for penetrative sex, you&rsquoll need to use a non-latex condom so that it doesn&rsquot disintegrate in the oil you&rsquove used as lube.

Expand your definition of &ldquovibrator&rdquo to include a household item. Whether it&rsquos a vibrating toothbrush or the blade-less end of a vibrating razor, wrap it in a plastic bag and have your partner press it against your clitoris. Or, try using it to tickle your partner's testicles and butthole, suggests Garrison.

"Face rollers can be used gently and sensually on small areas of the body that don't normally get attention, like the back of the thighs, under your breasts, and feet,&rdquo Matatas says.

Matatas also recommends pressure point massage rollers. This one could easily be used in solo play to rub along your clit or bum, too.

Use a textured bar of soap to massage each other in the shower, says Laino. Just a word of warning: putting soap in your vagina isn't a good idea, but feel free to get creative with where else you or your partner use this.

Wax play is hot&mdashliterally. But if you and a partner want to give it a shot, first have them lie on the bed while you hold a just-blown-out candle above your head. Allow a bit of wax to drip on your foot so you can test the temperature before scalding your lover.

All good? Keep it up high as you drizzle it on your partner's body. The wax&rsquos long way down will cool it off in addition to upping the drama, says Garrison.

&ldquoIt&rsquos all in the mind,&rdquo he says. &ldquoIf your partner keeps telling him or herself it&rsquos burning hot wax, they may be seriously turned on by that fear.&rdquo The actual temperature can be your little secret.

If you&rsquore a nipple clamp novice, Garrison recommends starting with something that's already in your desk drawer before springing for any high-priced items at a sex toy store: paper clips.

Simply clip them on to your nipples (or a partner's) the same way you would with normal clamps, and see if the sensation is something you're into.

If you're curious about trying bondage, don&rsquot think you have to invest in ropes, whips, and chains. Instead, look in your S.O.'s closet or purchase an extra-long one for just $10. &ldquoTies work wonderfully for simple bondage,&rdquo says Garrison.

Bonus: If you&rsquore traveling with your lover, a tie can work double duty. &ldquoHe could use the very same tie he wore to dinner,&rdquo Garrison says. &ldquoYou can have your own little dessert at home.&rdquo

Bacon Cheeseburger Bowls

Bacon Cheeseburger Bowls are everything you love about a loaded Bacon Cheeseburger, sans
bun. These Burger Bowls are so quick and easy to throw together, they might just be the best
meal prep for busy life!

I was asked by Carusele to participate in the #LaurasLean campaign, sponsored by Laura&rsquos Lean. Although I have been compensated, all opinions are my own.

If you&rsquove been following along for a while, then you already know that I&rsquom a huge fan of putting my food in big bowls and creating those &ldquoperfect bites&rdquo by mixing it all together. I started making &ldquoburger bowls&rdquo years ago after going out to one of my favorite burger joints. I&rsquod order a side salad and a big burger with all the toppings (except the bun), cut everything up, and stir it together. It was my attempt at being a lil bit healthier while going out for dinner&hellip and boy, it was good! These days, I make homemade cheeseburger bowls because they&rsquore a healthier, quick, easy, and a delicious meal prep option! And when I prepare a few meals in advance for those extra busy days (and nights), I always end up thanking myself later.

Why Laura&rsquos Lean Ground Beef?

I&rsquove partnered with Laura&rsquos Lean Beef to create an incredible meal prep recipe for y&rsquoall to make. I&rsquom ALWAYS in the mood for a cheeseburger, so I decided to make a version that&rsquos lower carb, delish, and skinny-ish! I know you&rsquoll LOVE these Bacon Cheeseburger Bowls. I pack &lsquoem full of flavorful ground beef, a creamy burger sauce, a little bacon n&rsquo crispy onion mix, and of course, we balance it all out with lots of vegetables like romaine, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, and cabbage. SO DREAMY. I could eat this every day!

Unlike most other beef that&rsquos labeled &ldquonatural&rdquo, Laura&rsquos Lean beef is a &ldquonever ever.&rdquo This means their protein is sourced from suppliers that raise their cattle without ever using added hormones or antibiotics, and are always vegetarian fed! #NvrEvr It&rsquos the perfect balance of superior taste and nutrition. I ALWAYS have Laura&rsquos 96% lean and Laura&rsquos 92% lean in my fridge and/or freezer. It&rsquos one of the most versatile proteins to make meals with. You can even check out their site and order in bulk, to get it shipped directly to your doorstep! I love buying meat in bulk and then sticking it in the freezer. It always comes in handy! So easy to thaw it, and then throw together these burger bowls&hellip or tacos, meatloaf, meatballs, spaghetti night, lasagna&hellip the options are almost endless!

Let&rsquos get into the kitchen and make these Bacon Cheeseburger Bowls!

Start off by throwing a pound of the 96% lean ground beef into a hot, lightly sprayed pan. As you take your spatula and start to break up the meat a bit, sprinkle on your favorite burger seasoning. I use one of 2 choices: either A) a mixture of garlic powder, kosher salt, pepper, and onion powder, or B) 2 tsp Low-sodium Montreal Steak seasoning. Just look how great this beef is!

When the ground beef is mostly cooked, add 1 tbsp each of mustard and ketchup, and 2 tsp of Worcestershire sauce. Stir together until incorporated. Add in 1/4 cup water, reduce to a simmer, and continue to cook until meat is browned. Remove from pan and set aside.

Wipe out the pan you just cooked the meat in, spray a bit with avocado oil cooking spray, and then add 10 tbsp of cooked and crumbled bacon, and about 10 tbsp of crispy fried onions. Cook for just a minute or two. This step isn&rsquot necessary, but it helps bring out the flavors. When it&rsquos done, set that aside. You can also prepare 10 slices of center cut bacon and crumble it.

How to make Cheeseburger Sauce:

Stir together the ingredients below and refrigerate and let the flavors meld for at least an hour before serving.

  • 1/4 c. light mayo
  • 1/4 c. plain nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp dill relish (not sweet) if you can&rsquot find dill then you can mince up a couple slices of dill pickles
  • 2 tbsp low sugar ketchup
  • 1 tsp each yellow mustard AND Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp roasted garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp Lawry&rsquos seasoned salt

You&rsquore going to want to keep that little sauce recipe in your back pocket. During the summer, when Eric grills burgers, this sauce is always on the side. So good, I could almost drink it!

Next, wash and chop any vegetables you want. For these Bacon Cheeseburger Bowls, I really like the combination of thinly sliced red onion, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, and pickles! You might think cucumber is an odd choice, but we all really love cucumber in this house. I add it to just about every salad- or bowl-type situation that I can! Avocado or red peppers would be a great addition as well. I also chop up a head of romaine (about four-five cups total) and throw in a few cups of pre-shredded cabbage slaw (without dressing) in with it.

If I&rsquom prepping ahead of time to have a &ldquoready to go dinner&rdquo I&rsquoll just put everything into separate containers. Sometimes I&rsquoll even save the meat to prep the night of since it takes about 5 minutes total to cook.

Cheeseburger Bowl Container Prep:

In your meal prep container, line the bottom with a couple layers of paper towel. This keeps extra moisture down, and helps the lettuce and vegetables stay crisp.

  • Slice vegetables into small bites, and make sure they aren&rsquot &ldquowet&rdquo when you put them into the container.
  • Add 2 cups romaine/cabbage mix into bowl + about 1/2-3/4 cup of whatever veggies you love on top of the paper towel layer.
  • Don&rsquot cut cherry tomatoes open until ready to eat.
  • Place seasoned ground beef, bacon, and crispy onions in a small bag or container to keep separate.
  • Keep cheese and burger sauce in small separate containers.
  • Close tightly and store for up to 5 days.

Goodness, aren&rsquot they gorgeous? They taste even better than they look.

Be sure to go grab (or order) Laura&rsquos Lean Beef, and make these Bacon Cheeseburger Bowls SOON.

How to Make Chicken Ranch Casserole

MIX. In a large bowl, mix together the pasta, chicken, Alfredo sauce, and ranch dressing. Pour the pasta mixture into a 9 x 13 baking dish.

TOPPING. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the pasta. Sprinkle the bacon on top.

BAKE. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes until hot and bubbly. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Recipe Variations

I love pasta bakes because you can make them simple or easily change them up for variation. Some easy variations you might like to try include:

  • Use cheddar cheese or pepper Jack
  • Change the pasta type. Any short pasta will work such as penne, fusilli, bow tie, shell…
  • Add veggies like broccoli florets, diced bell peppers or corn.
  • Turn up the heat with some spice! Red Chili flakes, adding jalapeños, or topping with tabasco sauce are all great options.
  • If you have a favorite homemade alfredo sauce you can easily use that. Two cups of sauce equal about 15 oz.

Keto Creamy Meatballs Recipe with Fried Cabbage [Paleo, AIP]

Ingredients: ground beef (or ground turkey or ground chicken or ground lamb), garlic powder, egg, salt, black pepper, coconut oil, onion, cherry tomatoes, cilantro, garlic, coconut cream, cabbage.

Here is another great idea for a healthy and satisfying Paleo meal for the whole family! The creamy tomato sauce helps to boost the flavors of the meatballs and the fried cabbage is a good alternative as a side dish. This recipe would also work using other ground meats such as pork or turkey, so it can accommodate any dietary restrictions you may have to cater for.

Southern Fried Cabbage Recipe

Ingredients: cabbage, bacon, red bell pepper, green bell pepper, yellow onion, garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper.

With all the colors of the bell peppers in this really attractive Paleo side, you have a perfect dish to serve to family and friends, or to take to a barbecue as it goes really well with grilled chicken. This is cooked in one pot, using the fat from the bacon to cook the cabbage and other veggies, so the delicious flavor is spread right through the dish, and you get a slight heat from the chili flakes.

Fried Cabbage and Bacon Slaw

– The View from Great Island

Ingredients: smoked bacon, green cabbage, yellow onion, carrot, black pepper.

This is a really adaptable recipe that gives you a tasty and colorful side to serve with sausage, chops or grilled meats. I have even been known to have this on its own for lunch! On the Paleo diet, leftovers can easily be transformed into breakfast for the next day, so any of this slaw could be reheated and topped with eggs next morning!

Skillet Fried Cabbage

Ingredients: green cabbage, bell pepper, onion, water, salsa, oil, garlic, salt-free all purpose seasoning blend, salt, black pepper.

Cabbage is a great source of vitamins and fibre and is low in calories and carbs, making it a really healthy vegetable to use on the Paleo diet, especially if you are watching your weight. Sides like this are a great way of filling people without spending too much so this would be a great dish for larger families on a budget. You can also turn this into a main by adding some sausage or crispy bacon.

Southern Bacon-Fried Cabbage

Ingredients: bacon, onion, garlic, cabbage, seasoned salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder.

This side dish has all the flavors we associate with bacon and cabbage sides and is seasoned with garlic and onion to give a tasty partner for steaks or chops. Cabbage is good for Paleo folks as it is low in carbs and so versatile. This gluten free side is perfect for barbecues and can even be enjoyed on its own. Add the bacon pieces right at the end to keep them crispy and give good texture.

Indian Fried Cabbage

Ingredients: cabbage, oil, cumin seeds, ginger, paprika powder, coriander powder, green peas, salt.

This delicious Indian-inspired recipe would make a great alternative to the traditional cabbage and bacon sides we all know and love! You are using ginger, coriander and cumin to give the real Indian flavor and this would be a great side to serve with grilled meat such as chicken or pork, but as this is also a vegetarian recipe you could serve it with Paleo naan as a main course.

Easy Fried Cabbage

Ingredients: bacon, onion, green cabbage, salt, pepper, smoked paprika.

This recipe is a basic instruction on how to fry cabbage, and would be perfect for those of you who are new to cooking or not very confident in the kitchen. This dish can be made vegetarian-compliant by omitting the bacon, but either way it makes a great side for your favourite protein source. For a vegetarian dinner you can pile this onto grilled mushrooms, or for meat-eaters serve it with steak or chicken.

Fried Cabbage

Ingredients: bacon, cabbage, salt, pepper.

Here is another basic and simple recipe that gives you instructions for making a wonderfully tasty side dish. You have the choice to make this with any kind of bacon, even vegan bacon, but remember to add a little oil as some bacon does not have the same amount of fat as pork. If you want to jazz up the flavor a little you can add a sprinkle of smoked paprika or a bit of garlic powder.

Fried Cabbage with Kielbasa – Low Carb, Gluten Free

Photo Credit: Kyndra from Peace Love and Low Carb

Ingredients: butter or olive oil or ghee or coconut oil, onion, garlic, red wine vinegar, kielbasa, green cabbage, paprika, sea salt, pepper, parsley.

Kielbasa is a sausage very commonly found in Poland, but if you can’t source it near you, you can use any firm sausage you prefer such as chorizo. If you choose to use chorizo, you might want to omit the paprika as this may cause the flavor to be overwhelming! This is a low carb, gluten free dish that you can enjoy for lunch as it has all the protein and veggie goodness you need.

I have a deep love for onions and like them in everything, especially caramelized. But I&rsquoll also reach for extra in my burgers or salad.

These are especially tasty. Be sure to cut them nice and thick, and don&rsquot let the pan get too hot as they will burn quickly.

The best way to cook these is to melt the butter in the pan with the Cajun spices to let them cook a little, releasing all their flavor.

Keep the heat on medium and nestle the onions into the warmed butter, allowing each side to cook for a few minutes on either side.
